Peter Reynolds, Psy.D.

Peter is a Clinical Psychologist and PsyD. graduate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. He is currently working toward earning his licensure, following an intensive 12-month residency program completed at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. Providing compassionate and impactful therapy to the adoloscent and adult population, he is a general practitioner who has amassed significant experience working in community mental health clinics in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as in a multitude of educational institutions (e.g. elementary school and college counseling).

 

Peter's clinical specialties include: working with mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, relationship navigation, and identity development. Likewise, he has more than 15 years of direct experience working with the adolescent and young adult population as a Wilderness Therapist, International Outdoor Leadership Guide, Outdoor Leadership Instructor, and International Baccelorate Educator at the high school level.

 

Today, Peter uses a variety of modalities and interventions within his treatment scope to include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and somatic mindfulness work. Peter is of the belief the relationship between the therapist and the patient is one of the most powerful tools for change and can offer an effective platform to explore emotional and relational patterns inside and outside of the therapy room. Likewise, he is professionally trained and able to provide psychological evaluation for ADHD.

Peter accepts United Health Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Private Pay.
