Alex is a Licensed Associate Counselor who provides counseling to individuals and couples of all ages. They have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Arizona University, and originally are from Dallas, Texas. Alex has gained counseling and advocacy experience working in domestic violence shelters, as well as community mental health, and therefore takes an individualized, trauma informed, and systemic approach to working with clients. Modalities of treatment used could include DBT skills, art and music, play therapy, ACT frameworks and feminist perspectives. Alex feels most focused on creating a supportive therapeutic relationship to safely work through current mental health struggles, past wounds, and helping gain new corrective experiences, but feels particularly connected to working with issues related to identity, healthy relationships, and sexuality.

Alex is specifically passionate about working with adolescents and kids, as well as the LGBTQ+ population. As someone who identifies as being in the queer community, they want to recognize the need for affirmative therapists and provide that safe space for others. Core values they hold are community, warmth, and helping others cultivate a sense of belonging and safety.

Alex accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and private pay.

*Alex is supervised by Deidre Hayes, Licensed Professional Counselor, pursuant to Arizona's Board of Behavioral Health Examiners requirements.*
