Brad is a Licensed Independent Addictions Counselor and a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor who provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families. He has a bachelors degree is social science and a master’s degree in sociology from NAU. Brad has thirty year’s experience working in outpatient and inpatient treatment programs to help people suffering with substance abuse and mental health problems. Brad uses a variety of modalities to help clients including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.
Treatment focus includes substance use disorders, compulsive behaviors (gambling, sex addiction, codependence, gaming, etc.), co-occurring disorders (substance abuse and mental health challenges), conflict resolution, relationship problems, domestic abuse, men’s issues, and parenting. Brad prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship, an empathetic approach, and being non- judgmental while supporting clients to work through challenges to achieve recovery, balance, growth, and improved mood. Brad helps clients with self-care, integrity, healing and making good choices to improve mental health, improve relationships, feel healthier, and improve self-esteem.
Brad enjoys spending time outdoors, family time, mountain biking, reading, and hiking. He enjoys adventure and has completed the Triple Crown of XT mountain biking.
He accepts private pay while he is waiting approval to accept commercial insurance.
